Any instructions, directions, or guidance provided by the institution to students concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants.

All recipients signed a form with the following information "The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act provides several different methods for distributing roughly $23 billion in funds to institutions of higher education. A significant portion of that funding allocation provides funds that will be distributed to institutions using a formula based on funding received from the previous CARES Act. Of the amount allocated to each institution under this formula, funds were provided to students in emergency financial aid grants to help cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations and economic hardships due to coronavirus. The CRRSA Act provides institutions with significant discretion on how to award this emergency assistance to students. SCCC has developed its own system and process for determining how to allocate these funds, which includes distributing the funds to students based on need. Need is determined by both the student Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) from the FAFSA and/or the unmet need after calculating other financial aid. These funds must be used to cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations or economic hardship due to coronavirus (including eligible expenses under your cost of attendance, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care).

By signing this form, you understand that these funds are only to be used for the purposes listed above. You further confirm that you are not currently receiving or eligible to receive funding from another agency to cover these expenses.

Finally, if you were identified as having exceptional need and was subsequently awarded funds in the Tuition and Fees category, you are authorizing SCCC to retain those funds and apply them to your student account. However, you agree that SCCC is not making this a condition of your receipt of CRSSA funds nor is it conditioned on your continued or future enrollment."
