Friday, October 4, was a special night at the Zizzer football game against Bolivar as we celebrated Military Night. We were proud to honor two of our own, Donald Collins, our West Plains High School daytime lead custodian, and Rob Richers, district technology network administrator, for their dedicated service to our country.

Rob served 26 and a half years in the U.S. Air Force, earning three meritorious medals, four Air Force Commendation medals, one Army Commendation medal, one Air Force Achievement medal, and six campaign medals during his service. Donald served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning a National Defense Service medal, an overseas ribbon, and a sea service deployment ribbon.

Thank you to the Zizzer Football Quarterback Club for providing all attending veterans with dinner, a t-shirt, and a meaningful veteran slideshow. Thank you to Freedom Patch Fireworks for the fireworks show at halftime.

Thank you to all our Veterans for your service.
